2023 Ford Ranger
The 2024 Ford Ranger offers the utility of a pickup truck in a smaller size, making it an excellent option for those who live in the city or don't want the large size of a truck. You get best-in-class payload capacity with the Ranger, helping you do the job right. Before you schedule a test drive, check out these top features on the 2024 Ford Ranger.
Engine (Power)
One engine option is available for the 2024 Ford Ranger. Your Ranger is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This combination gets you 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, plenty of power to put you out in front of the crowd. You can enjoy an EPA-estimated 26 mpg on the highway, giving you more time on the road between fill-ups.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
You can purchase the 2024 Ford Ranger in three trims: XL, XLT, and Lariat. These are available as either an extended SuperCab with a 6-foot bed or a SuperCrew with a 5-foot bed. The XL has a manually locking tailgate and 16-inch steel wheels. On the XL, you get 17-inch alloy wheels, and several packages open up, including the 301A and Sport Appearance packages. You can also add power-folding and heated outside mirrors with the 302A package.
The top-of-the-line Lariat upgrades everything with LED headlights and the 501A package, which adds rain-sensing wipers. The Tremor Off-Road package is available for all trim levels to make your Ranger more off-road-ready with underbody skid plates, side steps, and 32-inch all-terrain tires.
Performance
Performance is essential when purchasing a truck, so Ford has added many features to the 2024 Ranger. Rear-wheel drive is standard across all three trims, but you can swap that out for a four-wheel-drive system that gives you better traction over various conditions. You can haul 7,500 pounds or carry 1,905 pounds in the bed when properly equipped. The Tremor Off-Road package adds increased ground clearance, FOX shocks, and a revised suspension for a better off-road experience.
Interior
Hop into the 2024 Ford Ranger to discover a convenient and comfortable interior. The XL features one USB port, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a 3.5-inch center display, a four-speaker sound system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Upgrades include keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, a six-speaker stereo, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 8-inch touchscreen is standard on the XLT. If you add the 301A package, you also get a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the 302A package adds power-adjustable and heated front seats. You can also get navigation added to your XLT with the Technology package. You'll enjoy leather upholstery in the Lariat, and if you opt for the 501A package, you'll also enjoy the sounds of a 10-speaker premium Bang & Olufsen audio system.
Safety Features
Safety is a top priority for drivers, and the 2024 Ford Ranger offers many safety and driver-assistance features to help keep everyone safe. An advanced airbag system and forward collision mitigation are standard features of the Ranger. You can also add automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert with the Ford Co-Pilot360 package. The upper trim levels also offer adaptive cruise control and front and rear parking sensors.
